Beginning in 2012, all of the K-4 students at Maxwell Elementary attend Media Arts class, as part of their weekly Related Arts rotation. This program combines the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) NETS.S standards along with the current Metro Nashville Public Schools Visual Arts curriculum. This program is taught with the use of traditional art making materials and multiple Apple iPads.
All students have the opportunity to work with this exciting technology as we explore animation, digital photography, filmmaking, graphic design, presentation graphics, research methods, file management, and digital citizenship. This blog will showcase some of our methods and the hard work of my students.
